Mudroom, Powder Room & Laundry Renovation

Part of a Second Story Addition, Laundry Relocation, Powder Room Reconfiguration and New Mudroom

Added square footage allowed a once cramped powder room, laundry area and primary bathroom to be separated and reimagined. Relocating two of those spaces to the second level created an opportunity for a new mudroom with connecting powder room and better separation from the kitchen.

The Starting Point: A Dutch Colonial Home in Greater Boston

Existing conditions of ground level primary bath, powder room and laundry prior to relocation to new second story.

  • Existing primary bath on ground level before relocation and mudroom transformation

  • New laundry room framing in second story addition

  • Existing cramped powder room showing reflection of stacked laundry

A new mudroom and side entry gave this home something it never had. Direct access from the driveway.
